Description

Beehive Science and Technology Academy is seeking a school counselor to support its students. Beehive Science & Technology Academy is an open enrollment, tuition-free and college-prep public charter school serving about 310 students in grades 6-12 with a focus on math, science and technology. The candidate should have a strong background on students academic, behavior and psychological and emotional needs. Developing and implementing programs to teach students social and behavioral skills, supporting students in their college and career preparedness and emotional well-being in the school.

1- Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents, school personnel, and agencies associated with the school. 2- Maintain visibility with students, parents, and the community, attending school and community functions regularly to demonstrate a genuine interest in the students and staff. 3- Use effective presentation skills when addressing students, staff, parents, and the community, including appropriate vocabulary and examples, clear and legible visuals, and articulate and audible speech.

4- Research and collect data regarding the needs of students, and other pertinent information affecting the design and implementation of services and programs, using the information to recommend new programs and modifications in existing counseling programs.

5- Coordinate program evaluation and ensure compliance with all local, state and federal guidelines, policies and law at the school site.
