Glenwood Springs High School seeks a full-time Math teacher, starting in the fall of 2020.
Glenwood Springs High School seeks an outstanding math teacher to join a high-achieving department in this award-winning school.
The successful candidate will have a strong academic record. The ability to teach AP level classes is desirable. More important is having a passion for teaching freshmen.

We do not see teaching as a popularity contest but we accept that only teachers who are able to connect powerfully with students, who can engage them and be persistently, non-possessively warm, are fitted for this work.
Teaching is not a one-person performance. Commitment to collaboration with colleagues is essential.
We are persuaded by Ron Edmonds, who said in the mid-1970s: "We can, whenever and wherever we choose, successfully teach all children whose schooling is of interest to us. We already know more than we need to do this. Whether we do it or not must finally depend on how we feel about the fact that we have not done it so far.''
About Glenwood Springs High School (GSHS):
GSHS is an award-winning school (The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award), and home to 1000 students, grades 9-12.  GSHS is the largest of three high schools within the Roaring Fork School District RE-1.
The school is located in a mountain resort town. We serve a comprehensive population in that we draw from all socio-economic classes and we have almost equal numbers of Anglos and Latinos. Our free and reduced lunch rate is over 40%. Our mantra is Changing Students' Real-Life Chances. We are focused on academics but we are committed to the development of the whole person.
We pay for AP training for all teachers even if they are not currently teaching at that level.
