Job Description The Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an employment opportunity with our school. We are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to fill the position of Instructor for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing – Secondary Education. This position is located at the Jean Massieu School for the Deaf in Salt Lake City, UT.

Principal Duties As an Instructor you will: ? Plans learning experiences utilizing school curricula, IEP goals and objectives, and other appropriate materials and activities. ? Prepares lesson plans, reports and keeps records of student progress. ? Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior and attitude needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment. ? Ascertains learning needs of students in areas of study and established evaluation techniques for assessment of progress. ? Improves professional competence through participation in staff development activities and other professional growth activities. ? Collaborates with other secondary teachers to support students and schoolwide initiatives ? Performs other duties as assigned.
