ELEMENTARY DUAL LANGUAGE IMMERSION TEACHER
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Elementary Education (1-8) (Level 1), Elementary Education (1-8) (Level 2), Elementary Education (1-8) (Level 3).
The license position area must be in DI - Spanish.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Applications are now being accepted for an elementary Dual Language Immersion teacher for the 2020- 2021 school year in the Logan City School District. Applicants are required to hold a current Utah Educator License. Candidates must hold a World Language Endorsement. Dual Language Immersion teachers will provide target language instruction. The immersion teacher will team with an English-speaking teacher who will teach two half-day sessions of English language arts, math, and content area reinforcement. Each of the two half-day sessions will be comprised of elementary English-speaking students who are learning the target language. This is a school level position with the principal as supervisor. Candidates must be fluent in target language and must pass an oral language proficiency test through the Utah State Office of Education at the Advanced Mid- level and be proficient as an English speaker.
