Description
Utah Military Academy is seeking a unique candidate who is qualified and excited about teaching both Health and PE. This position would require teaching both junior high and high school classes.
Utah Military Academy provides a full-time military environment with uniforms worn Monday thru Friday. Our staff is expected to directly assist in fostering this military environment, to include proper military protocol and conduct. Cadets are given a PT uniform that must be worn in PE.
Our staff is also expected to lead an extracurricular program that builds character and knowledge base. Our regular school day is from 0800 to 1500, and the extracurricular program is from 1515 to 1630, three days a week. You will engage in supporting a program, lab or club one of those days. Of course, coaching a sport counts for that effort. Unique learning opportunities are encouraged and, within reason, will be supported.
We have aggressive goals of placing our graduating cadets into the Military Academies and ROTC programs at colleges and universities. A high level of physical fitness is essential in making this happen.
