Description

The Clinical Faculty Associate (CFA) is a Jordan District teacher, released from a classroom assignment to work in the JSD/BYU Partnership program, CFA responsibilities. 1)Work under the direction of the JSD/BYU Liaison, 2) Work with JSD/BYU Liaison and /or Teacher Education department chair in providing instruction during teacher candidate courses, workshops, and seminars. 3) Supervise, support, mentor, observe, and evaluate all levels of BYU teacher candidates. 4) Inform the JSD/BYU liaison of teacher candidate progress and concerns. 5) Attend undergraduate courses and training that support the teacher candidates in their clinical experiences. 6) Provide support for school partnership facilitators and classroom mentors. 7) Participate in all expected BYU Teacher Education and partnership programs, and activities, including BYU faculty meetings, CFA meetings, Jordan District Facilitator meetings, Jordan District Partnership Council meetings, Elementary Education Partnership Advisory Council (EEPAC), correcting course assignments, special training sessions, directing and correcting teacher work samples, etc. 8) Schedule and perform teacher candidate (breaks do not follow a track but accommodate schedules, partnerships activities, and district schedules.)
