A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Weber High for an Office Aide. This position is for 8 hours per day, 9 months per year. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS Purpose Statement The job of Office Aide assists the secretary in maintaining appropriate office activities and create an effective environment in order that students may learn effectively. Desirable: 1. Previous experience in a public school setting. 2. Ability to operate office machines, perform routine record keeping functions, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, teachers, students, and the public. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: 1. Ability to work independently at routine tasks. 2. Ability to learn special needs of particular individuals. 3. Ability to communicate. 4. Ability to meet and interact with teachers, parents, and students with tact, courtesy, and discretion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : 1. Operate various types of office equipment such as copy machines, personal computers, etc. STRONG COMPUTER AND PHONE SKILLS DESIRED. 2. Conform to District policy regarding attendance and absences. Employee attendance must be adequate to perform the above listed essential job functions. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Not limited to the following: 1.
