Monticello Academy is a public charter school in its 13th year. Our mission is to prepare students for higher education by providing a well-rounded, rigorous liberal arts education and developing the traditional American traits of hard work and strong moral character that lead to academic and life success.
We are opening a new campus in West Point and are seeking a qualified Assistant Director to start either immediately or in the coming school year.
We have a track record of excellent academic performance and a strong school culture. We know that it is people that make the difference, and we are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial educator who can help us create something amazing for the families of north Davis County.
The West Point campus administration will include one director who will also oversee the West Valley campus and two assistant directors. Assistant director responsibilities may include:
- Observing teachers and giving feedback to support effective instructional practices - Evaluating teachers - Assisting teachers with setting and following through on goals - Helping teams collaborate and perform more effectively - Handling disciplinary situations - Responding to parent concerns - Developing and refining curriculum and assessment - Helping teachers and parents implement instructional technology - Collaborate closely with the administrative team to create and act on schoolwide plans - Develop and deliver teacher professional development - Planning school-wide events and initiatives - Managing state and federal grants and the associated requirements - The classic "other duties as assigned" :)
