DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provides secretarial support for a department, Director or Assistant Superintendent within Sunnyside Unified School District.

Compiles department or program-related information and prepares forms and reports; maintains and updates department, student, and program paperwork and files; organizes and distributes department or program materials; maintains confidential records according to area of assignment; maintains budget funds; reviews time sheets and adjusts for accuracy; controls incoming/outgoing telephone calls; sets up and translates parent teacher meetings; manages security log of visitor check-ins, parking permits, and fire alarms; maintains databases related to area of assignment; prepares and maintains required documentation in compliance with State and Federal laws; sets up teacher evaluations.
Interacts and communicates with District administrators, school personnel and the public; prepares and distributes packets, brochures, letters, and programs; maintains attendance records; retrieves bus route times and locations, communications bus information to families, schools, and teachers; makes travel arrangements; copies and distributes staff and student travel documentation; procures transportation for school activities; prepares and inputs work orders for maintenance and repair; enters supply requisitions in computer system; manages purchase orders; routes mail and messages; coordinates and schedules meetings, appointments and conferences; interprets policies and regulations; performs related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, repetitive motion, vision to monitor, and may require some lifting. May be exposed to hostile or irate parents, staff or students.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years secretarial/clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.
Depending on the needs of the District, some incumbents in this class must be able to demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English as a condition of employment.
Salary Grade: 11 Hourly Pay: $12.74 Hours per Day: 8 Days in Contract: 238
