Herriman High School Head Volleyball Coach with Potential Teaching Position (#2002189)
Full-time teaching position beginning fall 2020 in additional to head volleyball coaching position. Academic core endorsement (any endorsement area). The head volleyball coach is responsible for maintaining a successful volleyball program that will compete with top teams in the state. The coach will develop the student/athlete in all aspects of volleyball, academics, character, and model good sportsmanship and discipline. A knowledge and understanding of volleyball rules, UHSAA rules, budgeting, practice organization, and out of season. Willingness to conduct after school try-outs, practices and competitions.
The classroom teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Teachers maintain a safe environment: establish rapport with students, parents and colleagues:motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge that will help them reach their potential and be prepared for higher levels of education and career readiness. Teachers differentiate curriculum and use effective research-based methods of instruction according to District and State Core Standards.
