Description: Secondary Science Teacher
Location: Platte Canyon High School
SALARY: Per Board approved 2019-2020 Licensed Salary schedule.
Initial placement on the salary schedule is based upon Highest Degree Earned, credits earned after highest degree and up to 10 years Previous Experience in related field.
Annual pay is divided equally by 12 months and paid monthly on the last business workday of the month.

• Quality academic preparation in the areas of High School Science.
• Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsement.
• First Aid and CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and administration.
• Science instruction in a classroom setting based on approved curriculum.
• Assess student needs, progress and achievement; diagnose and remedy weaknesses.
• Must exhibit excellent classroom management skills which enhance learning; maintain sound control over student behavior; and effectively manage transitions from one activity to another.
• Prepare and use effective instruction strategies using appropriate teaching materials.
