DATE OF POSTING:  January 16, 2020

POSITION:  Pre School Instructional Coach. Start date is February 03, 2020.  This position will support teachers to promote professional growth, improve teacher practice as well as enhance the academic growth of our students.

SALARY RANGE: This position will consist of a 30 days of contract at $300.00 per day.

  • Minimum of a B.A. in education; additional coursework in curriculum, leadership/administration or related education field helpful; hold or be able to obtain a Professional Teachers' License from Colorado Dept of Education in Elementary or Secondary Education;

  • Successful secondary level teaching experience of five or more years;  Prefer a master teacher with experience as an instructional coach, mentor teacher, cognitive coaching, academic coaching/mentoring /feedback, etc. 

  • Experienced in providing quality staff development relevant to schoolwide goals and school and district initiatives.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom; must be adept in collecting and analyzing data to facilitate instructional conversations with teachers.

  • Demonstrated ability to build capacity in staff to analyze and interpret data to make instructional decisions to improve student achievement.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with teachers on the improvement of instruction/refine and improve pedagogy; successful experience working with staff, students and parents in educational and instructional settings, as well as grade level or departmental and team meetings.

  • Demonstrated ability and commitment in establishing collegial relationships, supporting and developing/promoting Professional Learning Communities; experienced as a leader of a Professional Learning community preferred. Able to work collaboratively and collegially with site leadership team, other instructional coaches, and district Directors of Instruction and Learning.

  • Assist new teachers in aligning instruction with appropriate standards, curriculum and assessment expectations.

  • Strong background and successful experience in reading, writing and math instruction and interventions for students.

  • Computer and Technology skills preferred.

  • Prefer experience working with diverse populations in various areas of instruction as well as experience across grade levels and with best teaching practices.

  • Assignment starting date is February 03, 2020  with some availability for summer work with curriculum or building leadership team and/or providing staff development to district teachers.
