This position will provide support to the coach of high school age individuals in the sport of football. Collaborate with the coach or designee regarding practice activities/strategies. Assist with the implementation of daily practice activities for students. Assist with scheduling. Accompany and supervise team at home and away games. Develop and promote good community relations among stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a positive learning environment and effective management structures to purposefully promote and foster effective teaching, learning, and student achievement. Create a learning environment that establishes routines and provides for student engagement through questioning, speculation, and originality. Collaborate with specialists and provide unique learning opportunities for students with special needs. Promote a learning environment respecting the dignity of the child that is perceived by students as fair and consistent. Incorporate additional learning opportunities for advanced and non-proficient students. Ensure all processes, procedures and data collection are organized and effective with optimal use of time. Motivate, engage, and empower learners to track and monitor his/her fitness.
Provide quality, accurate, constructive, corrective, specific and timely feedback to students that encourages them to perform at their highest level. Utilize technology and/or other avenues to communicate to stakeholders (website, podcasts, etc.).
Actively participate in staff meetings. Apply and implement knowledge, skills and new understandings to improve programming. Advocate for and lead initiatives that will enhance student success in and out of school. Use professional Code of Ethics and standards of practice to guide ethical decision-making in practice.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Possible supervision of support personnel.
Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to interview participation, training/development, assign and direct work, performance feedback, address complaints and resolve problems.
BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
Create and implement effective and efficient process management strategies (e.g., procedures, equipment, materials and supplies).
Maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards, state guidelines, and school system policy.
Review processes for improvement opportunities and make changes as needed to ensure quality of program.
English fluency will be determined through the interview process and licensure.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) Certification.
Valid Colorado Teaching License, BOC (Board of Certification), ASEP (American Sport Education Program) Certification or equivalent.
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
Has computer/technology skills.
Has the ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Has the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers.
Has the ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
Has the ability to perform responsibilities without the necessity of close supervision.
Has the ability to effectively communicate with the School District community.
Has the ability to analyze, instruct, negotiate, coordinate, communicate, problem solve and use interpersonal skills.
Has the ability to compare, compute, synthesize and evaluate.
Has the ability to meet attendance standards and work the hours necessary to perform the essential functions.

Observe all District policies and procedures.
Adhere to federal and state legislation, regulation, and policies.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent lifting 10 (ten) to 20 (twenty) pounds.
Occasional lifting of up to one hundred fifty (150) pounds.
Frequent sitting, bending, walking, and standing.
Occasional running/jogging, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
Mostly clean and comfortable, occasional dirt or dust, temperature extremes, noise.
Occasional exposure to adverse climate and weather conditions.
May encounter bodily fluids.
Athletic Director or designee.

$3271.14 (based on 1.0 FTE)

Beginning November 2018: New hires or rehires will be responsible for the $49.50 fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
