Maintenance Complex - (8 hrs.) Maintenance Laborer (#1985129)
A position has been declared open in Maintenance for a Maintenance Laborer. This position is for 8 hours per day, 12 months per year. PERSON HIRED WILL BE WORKING WITH CARPET & PAINT or CARPENTRY or ELECTRICAL, or GROUNDS. RELATED EXPERIENCE IS DESIRED. Weber District employees may send a resume to Cody Barnes. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF THREEWORKING DAYS.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the assigned foreman, the maintenance Laborer assists maintenance personnel with a wide variety of maintenance work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Able to work with and receive direction and instruction from the journeyman level people assigned to work with. 2. Assignments could be made to a wide variety of work including but not limited to related to Carpet laying and Painting. 3. Stocks and cleans parts, storage, and work areas. 4. Assist with snow removal as required (shovels, operates snowblower and/or snowplow).
Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Necessary to Performance of Essential Functions: 1. Ability to communicate effectively. 2. Hold and maintain a Utah driver's license appropriate to the duties performed. 3. Able to lift and work with heavy tools and equipment 4. Must have experience in Carpet and Paint.
Required Education and Training: No specific education requirement, but must demonstrate ability to read and communicate at a level required for successful job performance. One year of work experience which demonstrates ability to do the job. Carpet Laying, VCT Tile & Painting Skills would be helpful.
