CCSD 46 is in search of an Pre K/Early Childhood teacher for the remainder of the 19-20 school year due to student numbers.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provide differentiated instruction with a variety of assessments in an environment conducive to learning

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires an endorsement in SCG3 (Birth – Grade 3) or LBS1 and an ESL Approval/Endorsement.
  • ?A completed/submitted online application, resumé, and letters of recommendation as required on the online application
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Applicants must hold valid Illinois Professional Educator License or other License as required
  • Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first; recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will also be considered
  • The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and learning standards
  • Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning
  • Utilize instructional management systems that maximize student learning
  • Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals
  • Plans and supervises assignments for assistants and volunteers
  • Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships
  • Meet professional responsibilities as outlined in the Staff Handbook
  • Continue to seek professional development opportunities as required by the State for license renewal
  • Maintain professional work habits
  • Communicate effectively within the educational community
  • Maintain your Professional Educator License as required by law
  • Serve as a specialist to the education team
  • Serve as a member of the Pupil Services team
  • Plan and supervise assignments for program assistants working with all students
  • Prepare Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for students at least annually
  • Maintain accurate documentation adhering to the dates and timelines set forth by the Federal government, State government, and Community Consolidated School District 46
  • Collect continuous data reflecting growth tied to the students’ needs for support and/or the IEP goal
  • Share in school-related duties as assigned by the building Principal
