POSITION VACANCY
 POSTING DATE: January 13, 2020
 

POSITION: Security Worker (full-time)

8 hours per day / 10 month

2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch)

 
ASSIGNMENT:
Event and District-wide coverage
 
REQUIREMENTS: Good knowledge of district rules and regulations and the ability to enforce them maintaining order when necessary.  Ability to:  think and act quickly in emergency situations; make written reports of incidents; cooperative with law enforcement agencies when needed; operate two-way radios; deal with the public.  Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.  Must have a valid NYS Security Guard License.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Monroe County Civil Service Eligible*; Class D drivers’ license; Bondable
 
*If, at the time of the job posting, the Monroe County Civil Service Office doesn’t have a Security Worker Eligibility List already established, a candidate may be hired provisionally, provided they must be eligible to take the Security Worker exam, when offered, and be reachable on the Monroe County Civil Service Eligibility List when it’s established.
