Director of Special Education - $2,000 signing bonus
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Special Education (K-12+) (Level 1), Special Education (K-12+) (Level 2).
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
The Esperanza Director of Special Education will ascertain that delivery of services to special education students to comply with all federal and state Special Education laws, direct teachers to follow the Utah State Board of Education core curriculum and will adjust the curriculum and differentiate instruction in order to meet the dual immersion goals of academic achievement, bilingualism, biliteracy, and biculturalism for all special education students.
