Infrastructure Manager Job Description
Job Title: Infrastructure Manager
Credentials: None required for this position.
Education: High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or other related field, etc.
Training or experience required: At least 3 years related technology experience. Knowledge of Mac’s and PC’s. Supervisory experience, and school experience preferred. Must have knowledge of technology infrastructure, and networking.

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Contract: 260 days
Salary Schedule: Technician Pay Table
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Essential Job Functions:
Effectively communicate, collaborate, listen, and work well with team members.
Analyze and implement project plans. Know how long projects will take as well as notifying all stake holders affected.
Recognize the strengths and knowledge of each team member for delegation to carry out, produce, and change projects accurately, effectively, and on time.
Effectively utilize the latest data processing techniques and productivity tools for device records, ticketing, systems analyst, and servers.
Work with eRate Funding Program.
Make decisions and implementations that will take us from the present to where we are headed 10 to 15 years in future.
Work with infrastructure networking for internet (wired, wireless, switches, servers), phones, cabling, and security access control cameras.
Maintain documentation in compliance with standard practices.
Work with construction crews and architects for planning and building.
Work with police, the District Attorney’s office, and make court appearances for situations.
Review current developments, literature, and technical sources of information. Ensure adherence to safety practices.
Follow School Board Policy and federal and state laws. Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
An employee in this position must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Must possess the ability to utilize and promote the use of participatory management techniques. Must possess personal characteristics including, but not limited to, poise, perspective, integrity, flexibility, sound judgment, and the professionalism necessary for success as an administrator in the Norman Public Schools District. Must work collaboratively with students, parents, administrators, and staff. Must be able to handle conflict and utilize problem solving strategies. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds to transport computers, monitors, printers, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
