Position Overview

Provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.

Essential Duties & Accountabilities

  • Maintains food, supplies, personnel and equipment.
  • Prepares and serves meals to students and staff.
  • Oversees and/or participates in menu planning.
  • Maintains required records including food production, inventory, and meal counts.
  • Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Ensures kitchen staff properly monitors control measures and CCP’s at required frequencies.
  • Responsible for overall performance of standard operating procedures.
  • Prepares daily production sheets
  • Places weekly orders with food suppliers on appropriate days and ensure delivery.
  • Balances money received and verifies amounts.
  • Makes Bank Deposits.
  • Responsible for catering requests when ordered.
Supervisors kitchen staff and performance measures for each employee.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
  • At least one year in Food Service industry supervising personnel.
  • Food Handler’s Manager Card
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Arizona Employees: 
    1. Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Nevada Employees:
    1. NV Fingerprint Background Check
  • The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
