Position Summary: The Director of Teacher Pathways and Development will lead the development and implementation of high-quality internal teacher preparation pathways and effective new educator programs and supports to ensure that teachers are well-prepared, well-supported, and able to positively impact student learning to help every child succeed.  The director will be responsible for collaborating across the district to put in place systems to develop, support, and retain excellent teachers – from pre-service experiences through their beginning year and beyond – that can meet the needs of our students. Specific functions residing on the team will include:  strategic implementation of internal residency programs for recent college graduates, career changers, and student teachers; development of a professional learning trajectory for teachers; rollout of a comprehensive model of teacher supports; and strategic partnerships with key teacher preparation partners to further establish a comprehensive network of growth and support for all teachers.
