Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Special Education Preschool teacher for the remainder of the  2019-20 school year at Bear Creek Elementary School.  Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with dual licensure in special education and in early childhood education.  Previous experience in early childhood education is preferred.  Must be a good communicator with the ability to design activities that promote social, physical and intellectual growth in young children.  Basic knowledge of the Autism spectrum is extremely helpful.  Previous experience in a leadership role is also helpful.  This position will be for the remainder of this school year only.  In order to receive consideration, you must complete the online application as soon as possible.  Applications will be reviewed as they are received. 

Exact placement on the salary schedule can only be determined by the Executive Director of Personnel upon contracting.  As a guideline, we offer up to 9 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 10, per school board policy.  The current teacher salary schedule can be found on our website.
