Position

Flagstaff Academy seeks a full time Special Education teacher with the appropriate credentials to work with our school’s Special Education students and team.
 

Qualifications sought

We seek a talented special educator who can inspire students, teachers, and families.  The successful candidate is expected to deliver dynamic educational experiences working with students having a variety of disabilities.
 
Specifically, we seek an educator with:
  • Experience working with high functioning autism and emotional disabilities,
  • The ability to implement a social skills curriculum and facilitate groups, 
  • The ability to work collaboratively,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Experience working with learning disabilities
  • Effective  instructional delivery techniques, 
  • Experience evaluating students for special education eligibility
  • Ability to develop quality IEPs and behavior plans, 
  • Ability to complete required paperwork within required timelines,  ? A willingness to work closely with students, families, and colleagues, ? Credentials as a highly qualified special education teacher in Colorado.

Flagstaff Academy is a Pre-K through grade 8 public charter school located in Longmont, Colorado and is affiliated with the St. Vrain Valley School District.
