As part of the AMS family, your role as an Academic Program Assistant will be to support the academic team to foster our development as a data-driven organization. Our passion is serving low-income neighborhoods and providing a STEM-focused education in conjunction with music, foreign language, and sports programs.

As we grow by roughly 30% each year, we are seeking intelligent, data-driven staff eager to uphold the same academic excellence that made our flagship school in Tucson the 2016 AZ Charter School of the Year. The Academic Program Assistant is responsible for the following: Completing ad-hoc projects on moving deadlines Managing secretarial tasks such as tracking inventory, scanning, printing, emailing, and following up with colleagues Reviewing, checking, and editing a variety of different projects and materials Operating as basic tech support for academics-related programs and systems to school administration and staff Readily learning new formats, interfaces, and programs to complete tasks Generating reports in Excel based on academic data for a network of over 6,000 students in various online academic software (Such as Study Island) Communicating reports to network and school leaders Regularly audit individual school webpages for compliance to network expectations Assist the administrator of online assessment software in the creation of assessment resources Assist academic program coordinators in math, ELA, or science in the creation of resources Assist in the creation of school schedules Must be able to: Completing ad-hoc projects on moving deadlines Managing secretarial tasks such as tracking inventory, scanning, printing, emailing, and following up with colleagues Reviewing, checking, and editing a variety of different projects and materials Operating as basic tech support for academics-related programs and systems to school administration and staff Readily learning new formats, interfaces, and programs to complete tasks Qualifications & competencies: Bachelor's Degree Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Previous experience working in K-12 academics Interest in education as a life-long learner Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to streamline abstract and concrete goals and projects into efficient tasks Critical and creative thinking skills Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills Excellence in writing and editing Mastery over organizing and self-directing projects Why work for us?
