POSITION:  SECONDARY HEALTH/PE TEACHER AND HEAD FOOTBALL COACH - UHS

APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OF OLDER
 
District Expectations:

  • Demonstrate mastery of the content area for which he/she is responsible;
  • Demonstrate the ability to instruct students effectively;
  • Evaluate all students to determine instructional effectiveness;
  • Demonstrate the ability to modify instruction to help students become competent in the areas of weakness;
  • Work cooperatively with all staff to insure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community groups and parents as well as students and staff;
  • Maintain professional competencies through continued learning;
  • Secondary teachers are encouraged to devote time to extra-curricular as needed in order to supervise, plan, and encourage all students to become involved.
Your application will be complete when you provide the following:
  • Evidence of a college degree from an accredited institution with evidence of a Teaching certificate;
  • Copy of Utah certification or a letter of eligibility from the Certification Office at the Utah State Office of Education;
  • Evidence of ability to work effectively with children, parents, staff, community by means of a minimum of three letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a direct supervisor;
  • Provision of undergraduate and graduate transcripts;
  • Completed application;
  • Resume.
