Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy is looking for paraeducators who can help create innovative lesson plans and enhance the learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with children, understands how they learn and is dedicated to creating an innovative and nurturing learning atmosphere for every student. If you have previous experience working in an educational setting and are interested in joining our growing team, we encourage you to apply. Experience in Montessori methodology is desired, but not required.

*The paraeducator supports students as they receive general education instruction. *The paraeducator is responsible for monitoring students, providing classroom supports, and providing reports regarding progress. *The paraeducator assists students in their classrooms, monitors the movement of students throughout the building, coordinates student schedules, assists in organizing students’ homework and classwork, coordinates programming with the service providers and school, picks students up from classrooms for services, monitors students in the room, sends reports of progress, and other activities as determined by the administrator and works cooperatively with the special education teacher. *Adapts classroom work under the direction of the teacher for the purpose of providing a method to support student learning *Administer, under supervision assistance to medically fragile children (e.g. toileting, assistance walking through building/play area, Nutritional supervision) for the purpose of providing required care for assigned students. *Confers with teachers for the purpose of assisting in evaluation of students’ progress and/or implementing students’ objectives/goals. *Implements plans, under teacher direction, for purposes of meeting students’ social and daily living skills. *Implements, under the supervision of teacher, instructional programs in accordance with lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students’’ academic success through a defined course of study. *Monitors individual students, classroom, library, playground activities etc. for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. *Supports the teacher with data collection for the purpose of documenting activities and/or providing reliable information.
