POSITION:          Student Engagement Coordinator
LOCATION:         Adams City High School
REPORTS TO:     Director of Student Achievement (School Level)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The student engagement coordinator's primary function is to re-engage and retain students through graduation. The Coordinator's work is designed to impact and improve student achievement at the individual and school levels.  This position works 228 days per year, 8 hours per day.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms in both English and Spanish, preferred.
College degree preferred.
Demonstrated successful experience working effectively and authentically with diverse youth in an academic community.


  • Identify, implement and monitor opportunities and programs to bolster student enrollment, engagement and attendance.
  • Support and advocate for a culture within ACHS that centralizes students' needs, in and out of the classroom.
  • Develop clear, specific, and ambitious performance measures for student engagement
  • Evaluate, on quantitative and qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs and special projects towards established goals and objectives and for continuous improvement
  • Build relationships throughout the school, in the community and with the district's central office team to drive collaboration and project success
  • Advise the principal and other school leaders on issues of strategy and operations related to student engagement
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
