Reports To: Dean, Division of Workforce Development
Salary Range: Level 6, Non-exempt, $11.68 to $15.56 per hour
Position Summary: Act as a liaison between the dean, full and part-time instructors, students, administrative offices, and College departments. Help with organizing, coordinating, and reporting activities as they relate to the day-to-day functions of the Workforce Development division office. This individual is responsible for providing quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff and may supervise student workers. Program Coordinators rely on the administrative assistant for budget details and for the purchasing of necessary supplies to maintain the various Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and labs.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; 3 to 5 years of office experience in which administrative duties were performed that required discretion and independent judgment; proficiency at the intermediate level in computer use, including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher), Outlook email, and Internet; and ability to multi-task and work in a team setting; strong communication skills; ability to take and prepare meeting minutes; ability to work cooperatively with students, administration, faculty, staff and community members; and ability to collaborate and coordinate work of others required. Associate’s Degree in Microcomputers and Office Technology or its equivalent; completion of college level computer/business courses; supervisory experience; knowledge of community college programs and services; and knowledge of Colleague/Ellucian or similar system and web design software preferred.
