POSITION TITLE:         African American Club Sponsor
REPORTS TO:              Student Activity Coordinator

Valid Professional Educators License
Previous teaching experience
Previous sponsor experience

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform the duties of organizing, providing and promoting activities and events for the African American Club

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide effective leadership in activities and events for students in the African American Club.
  2. Organize and effectively lead students to plan and execute activities and events for the African American Club.
  3. Obtain supervision for the African American Club after school activities and events.
  4. Schedule and coordinate the use of facilities for activities and events for the African American Club with the designated building personnel.
  5. Manage and supervise the use of the facilities during activities and events for the African American Club.
  6. Responsible to work within the given budget and keep accurate records of monies used and received.
  7. Work with the Student Activity Coordinator to determine activities and events for the African American Club. Clubs must meet at least once a week
  8. Must attend sponsors meetings
  9. Clubs must meet at least once a week
  10. Must organize and execute African American history events including an assembly during Black history month
  11. Other duties as assigned.
