JOB DESCRIPTION

A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Roy High School for a SB 67 Partnerships for Success Grant & Community Liaison. This position is for 8 hours a day, 10 months per year. Weber School District employees may send a resume to the school principal. Applicants outside the District may apply on Teachers-Teachers.com. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and direction for programs funded by Senate Bill 67 Partnerships for Student Success; facilitate and track the grant budget; ensure that the program, staff and partners accomplish their approved program outcomes and initiatives and that the Roy Cone meets compliance and reporting requirements; assist in the budget development process and data collection; complete grant required reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure compliance with rules and regulations administered by the Utah State Board of Education for the Grant. Serve as liaison with principals, other school personnel (as applicable), and partners on issues regarding the grant. Monitor activities, partnerships, interventions, and programs funded by grants to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines and expectations. Act as the point of contact for grant partners, the grant evaluator (technical advisor), the USBE, and UEPC on grant.

• Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the Utah State Board of Education for the grant. • Serve as a liaison with principals, other school personnel (as applicable), and partners on issues regarding the grant. • Monitor activities, partnerships, interventions, and programs funded by grants to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines and expectations. • Act as the point of contact for grant partners, the grant evaluator (technical advisor), the USBE and UEPC on grant-related issues. • Assist in planning the annual budget and oversee tracking of expenditures. Act as the point of contact with the school district’s accounting department. • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of grant reports, application amendments, and budget adjustments. • Work collaboratively with instructional staff paid by the grant to ensure the collection of data and quality of programming. • Develop and implement a grant logic model and annual grant calendar of events and deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of grant process including budget, data collection and reports, and project implementation; ability to interpret complex grant funding requirements, submissions, and budget projections; ability to interpret state and school district regulations regarding grant administration; ability to review the work of others to ensure conformance to standards; ability to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of staff, both orally and in writing. Office Skills and Data Collection skills preferred.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in education, child and family studies, social work, or a related field. Experience in an educational setting preferred, but not required.
