Maintains high school grounds and athletic playing fields. Coordinates the activities of Grounds Maintenance Worker.
Two and one half years experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping experience,
Completion of trade-school-level courses in horticulture, landscaping or related field required;
One-year experience and completion of a DOL approved apprenticeship program.
Six months of experience may be substituted for the trade-school level courses.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Basic math skills.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense).
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test (at employee's own cost).
Valid AZ Driver's License required within 10 days of hire. Must not have accrued eight points against Driver’s License within the past two years.

$11.19 per hour
1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
12 month position
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
