South Summit School District is seeking applicants for a full-time School Nurse. This position will be 40 hours per week with full benefits. Salary will be based on the 2019-2020 Classified Salary Schedule and will receive 100% paid family medical benefits, retirement/pension, life insurance, and paid time off. Qualified applicants must have a current RN or BSN License and current American Heart Association CPR/AED certification for healthcare personnel. The following qualifications and duties may include, but are not limited to: • Implement district health services program to meet the needs of the student population. • Provide health services to students. • Promote health and safety education for students and preventive health practices for students. • Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects. • Ability to implement policies and procedures. • Ability to write routine reports, student health plans, and correspondence. * Oversight of state immunization reporting. • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Make home visits, as needed, to help with student health problems as necessary. • Collaborate closely with administrators, teachers, and parents. • Work with district personnel regarding implementation of IEP goals and services.
