Summary
Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student athletes.  Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants.  Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses and at all times during the season.  Exercise patience, tolerance and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials and spectators.  Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior and interactions with our student athletes should be reflective of this.
 
Minimum Requirements:
COACH - SPIRITLINE
NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching - Spirit Line
AACCA Safety Certification
National Federation Spirit Rules Interpretation Class (Offered by AIA - See Interscholastics Department for more information on when this is offered)
NFHS Concussion certificate (www.nfhslearn.org <http://www.nfhslearn.org>)
Current CPR w/AED (at employee's expense)
Current First Aid (at employee's expense)
ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (school must provide powerpoint packet to applicant for review and sign verifying receipt/content)
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card required for Varsity Head Coach (at employee's expense)
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS UPON HIRE
Blood borne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
