Description

Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, Elementary, the Title I Interventionist shall plan and conduct lessons to provide a daily program of intervention instruction for students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop lesson plans which preview or review the appropriate language arts and mathematics content for the grade level

Provide instruction to meet the identified intervention needs of students

Utilize a variety of computer-based learning tools to meet the identified intervention needs of students

Generate reports to communicate student progress to building administrators and classroom teachers

Collaborate with building administrators and classroom teachers to determine student strengths and weaknesses and to define the specific needs for intervention

Set goals for student progress in mathematics and reading

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Proven success record as a teacher of language arts and/or mathematics. Experience in curriuclum and instruction. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teachers, principals, parents, and division-level administrators.
