2 Positions 

Purpose of the position:  Assists the classroom teacher in helping students learn and/or stay safe. 

Qualifications:  Minimum of 49 College Semester Hr. preferred or have passed the WorkKeys Assessment Skills Test (offered at the Craig Workforce Center) 
Data collection skills, ability for follow direction, flexible, positive, works well with kids and a team, professional.

Salary:  Step I - Aide's Salary Schedule


  • Assures that student learn at their own level and have their specialized needs met
  • Assists in teaching students how to become independent and responsible at school
  • Assists with specialized needs that may include behavior, learning, self help skills and/or communication. 

Roles: Under the guidance and direction of the classroom teacher and/or special education teacher the paraprofessional might perform one or more of the following:
  • collect or gather data
  • docment student progress
  • run small learning groups
  • prepare or set up activities and materials for the next rotation, period or day, help students with self-care tasks
  • monitor students during class, transitions, lunch or breaks
  • providing instructional support individually or in small groups;
  • providing one-on-one instruction
  • meet with teachers
  • provide accommodations for students to have access to classroom instruction
  • modifying materials
  • implementing behavior management plans
