Special Education Teacher
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in Special Education (K-12+) (Level 1).
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
We are looking for a DYNAMIC 5th-8th SpED teacher who can inspire and engage students in a place-based environmental education school. The successful candidate will be an inspirational and passionate educator with the ability to deliver an inquiry-based, academic program. This educator will cultivate cognitive skills while guiding students to appreciate the arts, their environment, their community.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •To effectively design a classroom and program that supports the academic needs of all learners >To write and attend IEP's. >To work well with teachers, parents, and students to provide the best learning opportunities possible. •To possess an in-depth understanding of the age group and a personality to support and guide students’ social and emotional development •To possess an ability to differentiate and individualize instruction and curriculum to meet all learning styles and abilities •To collaborate with the other teachers to effectively deliver a differentiated, project- and inquiry-based curriculum to early learners •To participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the curriculum •To participate in professional development training to further knowledge and proficiency in the teaching and learning process of early learners
