POSITION:  Administrative Secretary 1 Substitute (on call/as needed in the district office).

SALARY:  Salary is $12.26 per hour; daily rate (8 hours) is $98.08.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Minimum High School Education or GED required
  • Great customer service skills required.
  • Able to serve as a team player; perform clerical work, assist with communications between home and school and respond to inquiries from the staff, as well as community members, as necessary.
  • Strong organizational, secretarial, receptionist and multi tasking skills and experience preferred.
  • Computer skills preferred (Microsoft Office and/or Goggle Docs) for word processing.
  • Knowledge and experience in operating office equipment including copiers, multi-line phone system.
  • The ability to solve problems associated with the responsibilities of the position. 
  • Willing to be a team player and be cross trained in office operations as needed
  • Able to work productively and accurately for multiple supervisors with multi-tasks
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • Such alternatives to the above duties as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Start date flexible; prefer as soon as possible.
  • On call, as needed substitute.  May be short or long term.
  • All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
  • No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.
  • Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States
