  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • First Aid/CPR (Can be obtained after hire)
  • Three years of paining experience
  • Knowledge of products and techniques of the painting trade
  • Knowledge of mixing paints, stains and varnishes
  • Ability to interpret plans
  • Ability to deal with suppliers, staff and public
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and have excellent math skills
  • Any other combination of related education, experience, and training.

Proper preparation and application of protective coatings or sealants to buildings, fixtures and equipment.  Prepare surfaces for painting, staining or sealing.  Repair plaster and drywall. Tape and texture wall surfaces.  Install drywall and plaster.  Prepare and paint curbs.  Prepare and paint playground and athletic equipment.  Responsible for blending and mixing paints to match existing shades.  Supervises work of contractors.  Drives various fleet vehicles daily.  Accomplishes duties of building maintenance and repairs without direct supervision on a daily basis.  Responds to emergencies.  Snow removal when needed.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
