POSITION: PART-TIME BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONIST AIDE ~ DISCOVERY (HOURS PER WEEK MAY VARY UP TO 20 HOURS, VOUCHER POSITION, NO BENEFITS)

APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

Seeking a unique and upbeat personality who can: • Work in a dynamic environment; • Provide a consistent and nurturing environment to small groups; • Model the behavior you wish to observe when working with difficult people; • Tolerate extreme displays of student behavior, stay calm, and forgive quickly; • Provide guidance instead of discipline; • Research new methods and implement ones developed in-house; • Assist small groups in cooking/cleaning; • Assist students in guiding good hygiene practice; • Deliver character education; • Lead physical exercise routines; • Guide scripted mindfulness exercises; • Guide explorations of nature and community; • Assist students with goal setting; • Tutor students with academics; • Assist volunteers while they work with students; • Other duties as assigned by school administrator.

Education/Experience: • High School Diploma; • Utah Elementary Teacher Certificate preferred but not mandatory; • Must hold Associate’s degree or have 48 semester hours of college credit OR must have passed or be willing to pass the ParaPro test within 30 days of hire.
