South Summit School District is seeking applicants for two part-time RN Nurses that will work under the direction of the District Nurse for 20 hours per week. Salary will be based on the 2019-2020 Classified Salary Schedule and will receive no benefits. Qualified applicants must have a current Registered Nurse License and current American Heart Association CPR/AED certification for healthcare personnel. The following qualifications and duties may include: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. • Evaluate and care for sick/injured students and staff. • Prepare and update standard Health Care Plans (HCPs). • Prepare and update customized HCPs. • Meet with parents and teachers regarding HCPs • Keep student immunization records up to date and complete state immunization reports. • Perform and report state mandated student screenings including vision and scoliosis. • Follow up with all referrals • AED monitoring, inventory equipment and supplies for annual ordering. • Attend back to school night, prepare and present lessons as requested by teachers/principals/district nurse (i.e. hand washing, hygiene, etc.) • Assist with teacher/staff trainings for asthma, allergies, diabetes, seizures, etc. • Attend USNA fall and spring conferences and other trainings/conferences as needed. • Assist district nurse as requested. Experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check. This position does not qualify for benefits.
