Glenwood Springs Elementary School is seeking applications for a dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative ELD Teacher to ensure that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills and character to thrive in a changing world. 

Glenwood Springs Elementary School (GSES) is a community-focused, rigorous, project-based elementary school in Glenwood Springs, Colorado that uses the EL Education model ( Our community is nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Outdoor living is a way of life here. Our school thrives on the fact that our students experience diversity in many different ways.  GSES serves a diverse and multilingual student population of 550 Pre K- 5th grade students.  ELD teachers at GSES work closely and collaboratively with their Language and grade-level teams to develop highly effective lessons and integrated units as seen in the EL Education model.  GSES seeks a positive and proactive individual who can get their hands dirty, work with teams and embrace our "We are Crew, not Passengers" philosophy.

Required Qualifications:
Colorado Teaching License (ELL Endorsement) 

Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual preferred
Elementary teaching experience
Experience teaching the English language with a diversity of students
Experience creating standards based lessons and units of study that support all language learners
Strong understanding of literacy development 
Experience with experiential education, project-based learning or other similar model
Experience and a willingness to plan and participate in adventure, outdoor and/or environmental education settings.
