Part Time Occupational Therapist (#1604527)
Preparing, implementing, and evaluating an annual Individual Educational Plan for each student receiving Occupational Therapy services. Using appropriate assessment instruments pertinent to areas of therapy. Providing appropriate schedules for IEP students receiving OT involving school personnel as required. Providing specialized occupational therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of the students. Participating in IEP meetings for students receiving OT services or that were evaluated for potential OT services. Providing parents with suggestions for home techniques. Inform classroom teachers of the goals and objectives of the occupational therapy program and ways of achieving them in the school setting. Conferring with the classroom teachers as requested concerning any educational needs of the students receiving occupational therapy. Making available to teachers instructional ideas that are appropriate for students within the classroom situation. Ensuring that each student receiving OT services has necessary evaluation records in his/her SPED File. Furnishing the SPED Director with current student therapy schedules. Completing and supplying progress reports for each student in the program quarterly. Referring students who require further evaluation or follow-up services to the appropriate school personnel.
This position will be approximately 5 hours per week. Pay is dependent upon experience/education.
