POSITION BENEFITS Pay increases: Pay increases continue with each consecutive yearly rehire until top step is reached. Wasatch County School District gives credit for up to ten years of experience. Benefits: Ten sick days and three personal days.

BASIC FUNCTION Responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in laws and policies. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: • Designing the College and Career Readiness program so that it is consistent with the total educational philosophy of the district. • Continuing professional growth through educational meetings, visiting related facilities, membership in professional organizations, reading professional literature, and exchanging ideas among the district staff. • Working in coordination with other career and technical education teachers and other departments in planning, integrating, and developing the educational program. • Designing the College and Career Readiness program to enhance both academic and career and technical skills. • Using appropriate and varied assessment instruments pertinent to instruction to assess student progress. • Developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. • Preparing lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, multisocial and emotional needs of the students. • Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with other employees, departments, and schools.
