Majestic Elementary - Spanish Immersion Teacher (Grade TBD) (8 hrs.) (#1487627)
A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Majestic Elementary, (Grade TBD) for a Spanish Immersion Teacher. This is a school level position with the principal as supervisor. This position is to teach in the Spanish language curriculum grades, 1 - 6, with a particular focus on math, science, and Spanish literacy. Spanish fluency is absolutely essential and the candidate must have passed (or be able to pass) the Utah State Oral Proficiency test. Collaboration skills are also essential to effectively work with English-portion teachers, class grade teams, auxiliary faculty, parents, and students. The teacher, though, will be expected to collaborate with district personnel on the program.
**This position requires the applicant to have a Level II Spanish-speaking endorsement and be comfortable instructing throughout the day/fluently in Spanish. The teacher either needs to have or be willing to obtain a Dual-Language Endorsement and a current Elementary Teaching License. The grade of instruction will be determined.
