POSITION:  AVID Program Tutors (part-time) – High School and Middle School positions. Positions start in August 2019.
 
SALARY RANGE:  $12.00 per hour; flexible schedule – may work up to 7 hours per school day (prefer 6-14 hours per week).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Current college student or college degree required. Minimum of a two year associates degree or the equivalent of two years of college preferred.
  • Experience working in school setting and/or student pursuing education degree preferred, however, training is provided.
  • Experience working with Middle School or High School students preferred.
  • Able, under the direction of licensed staff, to tutor students, reinforce learning and supervise students working independently and in study groups in all content areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION:  Open until filled.
 
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Assignment to begin in late August to early September 2019. Some flexibility with this date, but prefer start date as soon as possible.
  • All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
  • No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.
  • Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States.
