POSITION:                 Language Arts Teacher- Secondary
LOCATION:               Kearney Middle School
Projected Start Date: 7/29/2019

  • Must possess or qualify for Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement in Grades 6-12 Language Arts.
  • Must have training and/or experience in team teaching and interdisciplinary unit development and implementation. 
  • Must have a commitment to work with and be an integral member of a teacher cluster team.
  • Desire candidate to have training in a method of mastery teaching (Hunter Model) and standards based education.
  • Desire candidate to have a Master's degree in English.
  • Prefer Bilingual Spanish ability.
Desire candidate to have experience in working with minority adolescents and knowledge of cultural diversity.
  • Perform at a professional level in all areas of teaching instructional management, interpersonal relationships, professional and general responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and affective development.
  • Display a willingness to promote pride and be sensitive to the unique multi-cultural ethnic (primarily Hispanic) backgrounds of many of our students.
  • Be an effective communicator with staff, students, parents, and the community at large in support of educational programs.
  • To be of the highest integrity with a strong desire to model commitment to students, professional ideals and above all ethical standards in pursuit of educational excellence.
  • Willingness to be involved in clubs, activities or coaching.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
