MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH TEACHER

Qualifications and Experience:
  1) Bachelor’s degree required; 2) hold or be eligible for teaching license.
 
Position Description: 
This position requires an individual who is willing to work with a middle school team as well as the mathematics instructional coach.  It requires an individual who is willing to teach in a standards-based classroom using research-based effective mathematical teaching practices.  This includes utilizing a student-centered instructional approach that supports the balance of students learning together through exploration, collaboration and discourse as well as learning individually through differentiation and the use of a technology program.

This position also requires the individual to be an advisor.  As an advisor, the person will have the primary responsibility to guide their advisee's personal and academic achievement as well as direct the student-led parent conferences. 

 
Salary and Benefits:  Minimum salary is $37,005; based on experience/qualifications.  Benefits include health, life, and dental and vision insurance options as well as retirement in the Public Employees Retirement Association.
