Description: Girls Swim Team Head Coach
Job Summary: 2019-2020 School Year
The Head Swim Coach will be responsible for organizing practices, instructing athletes, and implementing a variety of training methods. The head coach will also organize home meets including our home invitational, be responsible for timing and scoring home meets, provide results to opposing teams, and will submit entries for athletes in events for competitions.
The season runs from mid-November through mid-February. Practices will be held weekdays after school with some flexibility in the schedule. There will be 7-10 meets and the coach will be required to travel with the team to and from competitions.
The coach must be knowledgeable of training techniques, competition strategies, and CHSAA rules and regulations related to high school swimming. Experience in swim competition and coaching as well as working with high school students in some capacity are highly desirable. Also, experience with Hytek timing systems or willingness to learn will be necessary.
Coaching certification, CPR/First Aid, and completion of the district application including background check will be required.
