2019-2020 Industrial Technology Teacher

Industrial Technology Opening at East Marshall

East Marshall is seeking an industrial technology teacher, for  the 2019-20 school year. There is an alternate pathway to receive a provisional teaching license in Iowa for individuals without a degree or teaching license, but that have extensive work experience in certain career and technical fields, such as industrial technology.

The minimum requirement for each endorsement area is 6,000 hours of hands on work experience or 4,000 hours if the applicant has a BA degree. East Marshall would prefer a candidate with the required work hours in at least three, but a minimum of two, of the following potential endorsement areas:

-Construction Trades
-Computer aided design and drafting / Manufacturing technology
-Welding / Metalworking
-Electrical
-Automotive repair

If you believe you meet these requirements, and have the abilities and a strong desire to teach these skills to students, please contact East Marshall Community School Superintendent Tony Ryan for more information, or submit a resume, along with a letter of application detailing your work experiences, why you are interested in pursuing a career as a teacher, and a description of any formal or organized youth activities you’ve been involved with as a sponsor / supervisor(if applicable).

More information on this alternative pathway to teaching licensure is available onthe Board of Educational Examiners website, https://boee.iowa.gov/

Applicants are to send an application to Superintendent, P.O. Box 159, Gilman, IA 50106 or email janderson@e-marshall.k12.ia.us.
