South Summit School District is seeking applicants for a part-time Video Production Teacher at South Summit High. Salary will be based on the 2019-2020 Licensed Salary Schedule and will not receive benefits. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, a current Utah Secondary teaching license, or an ARL application. Applicants must have excellent communication skills with students and staff members, must be able to make and keep student records, and must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Two sections of this class will be offered in the afternoon schedule. Classes will be designed to provide students with the basic and advanced knowledge needed for use in the video production industry. Instruction will include hands-on assignments in the following areas: camera operation, audio system, lighting systems, pre-productions, studio operations, control room operations, visual effects and graphics, copyright laws, post-production and storytelling. Students will create a portfolio as part of the Video Production 2 class. This teacher will work closely with the school administration to produce videos for school use and possible school announcements along with attending occasional extracurricular events to help student’s film events.
