Weber School District - Student Services Coordinator (8 hrs.) (#1457337)
A position has been declared open in the Weber School District Student Services Office for a Student Services Coordinator. This position is for 8 hours per day, 10 months per year and will be opened to qualified candidates within and outside of the district. The days worked for the 10th month will be assigned by the Director of Student Services and will include most of the month of August. This position includes a 9% stipend. -The handling of student referrals and due process procedures for a specific geographical area (cone) in district – includes the high school(s) area and all feeder schools. This includes the facilitation of due process hearings for students referred for disciplinary issues. -The responsibility to assist with program and professional development and training. -The ability to work as a team member with other student service coordinators in all areas of counseling and guidance service to students. -Demonstrates expertise in behavior intervention – knowledge of Response to Intervention (RtI), intervention systems (PBIS & MTSS) and associated strategies. -The ability to network with various social service agencies. -The ability to coordinate and facilitate crisis intervention. -The ability to facilitate group work in the schools. -Demonstrates professional ethics as outlined by the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission. -Conforms to district policies including attendance, absences and evaluations. -Demonstrates a general understanding of Section 504, FERPA, GRAMA, Residency, Guardianship and District policies.
Qualifications for this assignment may be met via one of the following area of licensure: School Counselor School Psychologist School Social Worker At least three years of experience as a school counselor/psychologist/social worker is preferred.
